Ammannia senegalensis is as a classic aquarium plant, especially used in a Dutch style aquariums. The thick stem whit broad leaves can grow up to 50cm, what makes it an ideal background plant, which can tolerate high temperatures, up to 32 °C. If plant does not get enough lighting the leaves will change color from red to dark brown and they will start to decay. For better growth separate each stem and plant individually.
