This gorgeous plant is not easy to cultivate. It needs high light levels, regular and stable fertilization and CO2 injection in order to gets its full potential. Its strikingly red colored attractive leaves will turn pale if micronutrient deficiencies occur. P. stellatus develops lots of lateral shoots, which can be cut off and replanted.
